Though it’s almost spring in his home country, Armin van Buuren still managed to indulge in a bit of frosty fun. While at the Alpe d’Huez for Tomorrowland Winter, he went skiing with Steve Aoki and Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, hit Studio Brussel with a mini live set, did a small gig at Funradio and, of course, blasted the stage into oblivion at minus 10 degrees alongside Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. Following the grand success of mainstage anthem ‘Blah Blah Blah’, Armin van Buuren has pulled out all the stops to unleash yet another full-throttle festival anthem. Already premiered to legions of fans during his sets at ASOT 900 Utrecht and in his A State Of Trance radio show, ‘Turn It Up’ does exactly what its title implies: getting listeners to crank up the volume big time.

Created off the back of several amazing crossover songs, including the wonderful ‘Lonely For You’, ‘Turn It Up’ sees Armin van Buuren unleashes his dark side for a fresh cut meant the biggest stages. Peppered with colossal drums, infectious vocals and stadium-quivering bass, this blistering track is meant to make the crowd erupt into fist-pumping madness.

Armin van Buuren: “I’m always excited for the festival season because of the crowd’s response to tracks like these. Nothing beats the feeling you get when fans go absolutely nuts to something you play, and ‘Turn It Up’ was made for that exact purpose. I’m really looking forward to playing this one all throughout the summer.”

The start of the festival season is getting closer by the minute, so Armin van Buuren already started his warm-up for the deluge of festivals to come. After announcing his gig at Dutch festival Pinkpop, Armin travelled from Israel to ASOT Madrid and back to the Netherlands again to lay claim on two BUMA awards for most played tracks on Dutch Radio: ‘Therapy’ and ‘Blah Blah Blah’. Armin van Buuren: “The guys from Above & Beyond and I exchanged a few remixes back in the early 2000s, and we really enjoyed working together. Despite that, we never linked up in the following years, until now.
