In the wake of the hyper-successful ‘Great Spirit’ (over 100 million streams combined plus a gazillion plays at the world’s most popular festivals and radio shows), Armin van Buuren and Vini Vici have joined forces again. Alongside Brazilian star DJ/producer Alok, who scored more than 300 million streams with ‘Hear Me Now’ (with Bruno Martini, feat. Zeeba), and singer-songwriter Zafrir, they emerge with brand-new single ‘United’ and its custom-made music video to unite the world of dance music. 

In many ways the ideal successor of ‘Great Spirit’, ‘United’ merges the best from Armin van Buuren, Vini Vici and Alok combined to make the intensity levels go off the charts. Laced even further by the energetic build, thrilling staccato strings, Zafrir’s infectious chants and a monstrous bassline, ‘United’ will make the crowd jump and fist-pump together as one.

For the official music video of ‘United’, fans were asked to submit footage of themselves holding their country’s flag at famous hotspots or big festivals, to show that music truly is a universal language that connects and unites people from all over the world. With all of those fan entrees combined, it makes for a wonderful portrayal of a world where only music matters, not race, origin or descent.

Rooted in the sound that helped the genre’s popularity skyrocket, ‘Our Origin’ is exactly what fans bargained for: an exceptional, melodically irresistible masterpiece that takes listeners on a marvelous journey, just like in the old days.

Armin van Buuren: “’Our Origin’ was made with this year’s Tomorrowland theme, ‘Planaxis’, in mind. We wanted to create something fundamental not only to the current generation of dance music, but also to the sound that thrived so many years back. I’d like to think we’re really hit the mark with our new record, and I hope everyone will love the song as much as we loved creating it.”

Shapov: “I’m really happy to have done two collaborations with Armin, especially as I feel we’ve come up with a great combination of styles, like Progressive meets Trance. I feel both our styles are very similar in the sense that they both draw inspiration from the early days of Trance and that’s where the name ‘Our Origin’ comes from. After working on ‘The Last Dancer’ together and joining him on stage at Ultra Music Festival Miami this year, it feels amazing to have been able to work with him again. I really think we’ve managed to create magic once more with this new single.”
