Today, Saturday August 9th, the ticket sales for the Armin Only Intense: The Final Shows (which will take place in the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam on December 5th & 6th) kicked off at 10:00 AM (CET). All 25,000 available tickets were sold out within one hour.

It has been an incredibly successful year for the Armin Only Intense world tour, with two completely sold out kick-off shows in the Ziggo Dome (Amsterdam) in November, 2013. The journey that followed led Armin and his crew to hundreds of thousands of fans all over the world: North America, Asia, Australia, South Africa and Europe. At the moment, the Armin Only Intense crew is enjoying a well-deserved summer break, but when autumn falls, they will continue their musical adventure with Valencia, Moscow, São Paulo, Buenos Aires, Medellin, Quito, Ostrava and Bucharest.

The enthusiastic reactions of the fans has made a good impression on Dennis de Bruin, COO at ALDA Events and producer of Armin Only, and he is proud that the tour will see its closure in Amsterdam. “It has been an extremely busy year but with fantastic memories, and this feels like the icing on the cake.”

For Armin van Buuren, who has been acknowledged number 1 DJ of the world 5 times, it was a logical step to close the world tour in Amsterdam. He states: “By then I will have been on tour for over a year, and it makes me happy to know that I will be able to perform the spectacle two more times for all my fans. The kick-off shows were already unforgettable last year and the ‘Final Shows’ will definitely surpass it. We kept on improving and further developing the show, and through adjustments we were able to perfect the experience. This will be clear through numerous of new elements and effects, which will also be included in the show on December 5th & 6th to exceed all expectations.”

It appears that the accolades just keep rolling in for ‘This Is What It Feels Like’, one of Armin van Buuren’s biggest hits to date. Taken from the artist album ‘Intense’ (which has spent over a year in the Dutch charts, a milestone only reached by a DJ once before, ten years ago), the record has received overwhelming fan and radio support, and was even tipped for a Grammy nod earlier this year.‘This Is What It Feels Like’ has racked up an impressive 45+ million plays on YouTube and has had impressive sales around the world. After already reaching silver in the U.K. and attaining platinum, double platinum, and gold status in multiple countries, U.S. gold is a significant milestone for the record and for Armin van Buuren personally.Armin’s reaction to this great achievement: ‘When I started making music as a kid, I always dreamed of once working a track that would be a hit in the US. I’m extremely happy and overwhelmed by the love for this song that is so personal to all of us. I want to thank all my fans in the US and around the world for the support for this song!’

The single has reached multiple top 10 positions in some of the most influential global markets and has been a crowd favorite during Van Buuren’s ‘Armin Only: Intense’ World Tour.
