Never one to rest on his laurels, Armin gave 3 different artists the chance to remix the tune, taking the song in wildly different directions. Heatbeat brought their signature progressive and heavy hitting sound to the song, while Thomas Vink brought the tempo down and turned up the subs. From a long list of around 100 nominees, Armin and A State of Trance have made it through to the final 3 for seemingly the one prize Armin has yet to win for his collection: the Dutch ‘Gouden RadioRing’ or Golden Radio Ring.

Facing tough competition, Armin and his show (on Dutch national radio 538) have made it to the coveted final round. The award show announcing the winner will be held on November 13th, 2014. But it’s not over yet! There will be one final round of voting, starting 24 hours before the award show.

Adding to the list of Armin accomplishments, the man recently lent his voice to the Dutch version of the new series ‘Star Wars Rebels’. The cameo will air in the Netherlands (in the Dutch language), and Armin got to stand shoulder to shoulder with a couple of storm troopers in the process. The program will begin airing at 16:45 on October 3rd on Disney XD.
