Armin and the entire team working at Armada Music would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of those who supported him by voting in this year’s poll. Every year since 2004, Armin van Buuren has made a year mix of the biggest tunes of his radio show — A State Of Trance.

Armin did the very first year mix during A State of Trance Episode 182, and this mix was originally broadcast on January 6th, 2005.

After Armin’s new single ‘Hystereo’ entered the Dutch iTunes single charts at the #1 position, it went on to conquer dance floors around the world. Never one to rest on his laurels, Armin gave 3 different artists the chance to remix the tune, taking the song in wildly different directions. Heatbeat brought their signature progressive and heavy hitting sound to the song, while Thomas Vink brought the tempo down and turned up the subs. KhoMha’s not one to be outdone, delivering a staggering remix of his own. The Hystereo continues!

From a long list of around 100 nominees, Armin and A State of Trance have made it through to the final 3 for seemingly the one prize Armin has yet to win for his collection: the Dutch ‘Gouden RadioRing’ or Golden Radio Ring.

Facing tough competition, Armin and his show (on Dutch national radio 538) have made it to the coveted final round. The award show announcing the winner will be held on November 13th, 2014. But it’s not over yet! There will be one final round of voting, starting 24 hours before the award show.

Divided over several continents at the most incredible locations, A State of Trance Festival will deliver the unique ASOT vibe and electrifying atmosphere in its ultimate, purest form.

Staying true to the roots of ASOT, we’ll be kicking of this edition with a celebration weekend, ASOT style. The home of this celebration weekend will be Australia, during which an overwhelming selection of trance DJs will take the stage during a live recording of the 700th episode of A State Of Trance on February 6th in Melbourne and February 7th in Sydney. On February 21st, we will proudly host A State Of Trance Festival with the first show in Utrecht.
