Hilversum, April 30th, 2014 – Armin van Buuren will be on Radio 538 with his weekly show, A State of Trance, for at least two more years. During King’s Day (a major Dutch holiday and celebration), the DJ signed a new contract shortly before his performance in Breda.

Dance music has had enormous developments over the last several years and is now larger than ever. Radio 538 has always connected with the most popular DJs in the scene, and the company is proud to extend its collaboration with one of the most successful DJs in the world.

Since 2011 the successful DJ has had his A State Of Trance program broadcast on Radio 538 every Friday night from 11PM to 1AM. He has signed a new contract cementing his weekly show through 2016.

Due to the recent passing of Armin van Buuren’s father-in-law after a lengthy battle with cancer, ALDA Events (the producer of Armin Only) and Live Nation regretfully announce that the show set to take place this Thursday, April 17th at United Center has been cancelled. Everything has been done to try and avoid this cancellation, however due to several factors this is not going to be possible. While Armin feels terrible about the cancellation, it is crucial for him to be with family this week leading up to the funeral this Friday.

ALDA Events, Live Nation, Armada Music and David Lewis Productions would like to express their sincere condolences to the family, and request that the privacy of the family be respected during this incredibly difficult time.

Refunds for the April 17th show are available at the point of purchase. The Armin Only tour will resume Saturday, April 19th in Toronto as planned.

Last weekend, the results of Mexico’s EMPO awards were announced. Armin van Buuren and Armada Music scored big, winning an impressive 7 awards out of 10 nominations. EMPO is a widely-recognized platform in Mexico, and it’s a focal point for all things dance. For Armada and Armin to receive these important awards is a tremendous honor.

Armada Music has just won 10 awards during the International Dance Music Awards. Armin van Buuren received 11 nominations and brought home 8 awards. Armin was crowned ‘Best Trance DJ’, ‘Best Artist (Solo)’, and ‘Best Producer’. His Compilation ‘A State Of Trance 2013’ was given the award for ‘Best Compilation or Full Length DJ Mix’, and the newest edition ‘A State of Trance 2014’ is available today on iTunes.
