World-famous Dutch DJ and producer Armin van Buuren just broke the one million mark for Spotify followers. Armin van Buuren is the first and only Dutch artist to reach this milestone, and this accomplishment makes Armin one of the top 50 most-followed Spotify artists in the entire world, in any genre. There are only a small handful of EDM artists in the one-million-plus league, and Armin is one of the top 5 most followed DJs globally.

In 2014’s DJ Awards, Armin van Buuren is nominated for two awards in two different categories: Trance, and Best International DJ – both nominations are a tremendous honor!

The DJ Awards will take place at Pacha Ibiza on Tuesday, September 30th, and since its first event back in 1998, this non-profit organisation has evolved from a small reunion of 10 DJs to an event which now covers 11 categories with over 80 DJs nominated plus 12 additional Special Awards. Supported by the music industry and media worldwide (last year’s edition was promoted in 26 countries with an audience of over 90 million), it’s an event that is now internationally recognised.

In this brand new episode of the Armin Only Intense road movie, we follow Armin and his crew from Manila to Taipei. As the tour progresses, the signs of fatigue are becoming apparent and the crew needs to get creative to stay awake and get pumped for the shows!

For both the dancers and the artists, who need to stay fit throughout the tour, the exhausting hours are becoming a real challenge. With every venue posing its own unique challenges to the dancers, they need to practice their routine daily, eating away at their precious energy.

Even though life on the road isn’t all fun and games, the crew is becoming like an actual family! Always there for each other, providing every single member of the crew with the energy to put forth the most incredible show ever! Music lovers are now free to vote for their top 5 favorite DJs in the official DJ Mag Top 100 DJ Poll. Coming off of an amazing start to 2014, Armin van Buuren and his record label Armada Music are hoping for another successful year.

Last year, five-time world #1 DJ Armin van Buuren came second in the infamous DJ poll, closely followed by Dutch hit-maker Dash Berlin (10). Other names in the Top 100 include talents such asW&W (14), Aly & Fila (20), highest climber Andrew Rayel (28), Omnia (48), Orjan Nilsen (49), and renowned names like Cosmic Gate (80), Heatbeat (81), and trance giant Paul Oakenfold (92). This year, with several new DJ names signing to Armada Music or the Armada Music Management division, the list of DJs Armada is campaigning for in the DJ Mag Top 100 is bigger than ever. In total, Armada is cheering for 28 outstanding artists.

Every year in October, DJ Mag publishes an overview of the most popular DJs of that year, based entirely on votes. An average of 300,000 global club-goers cast their votes for the critically acclaimed poll each year. The poll opens July 12th and closes September 15th. The Top 100 DJ’s 2014 will be revealed during the Amsterdam Dance Event at Amsterdam Music Festival on the 18th of October.

Each week this summer, you have a chance to win a pair of tickets to Armin van Buuren presents A State of Trance, Thursdays at Ushuaïa Ibiza! Simply answer the three questions and if you are correct you may be the lucky winner!*

*Each quiz starts Friday at 18:00 CET and ends on the Sunday that follows at 23:59 CET (You must complete your entry within this time frame). Winners are announced every Thursday for tickets to the ASOT show the following week.

For example: Entries for the quiz on Friday June 20th were eligible to win tickets for the show on Thursday July 3rd. All entries who have answered all three questions correctly will be added to a draw, where we will select a winner at random. We will then notify the winner via email and make an announcement every Thursday via the ASOT radio show (from 20:00 till 22:00 CET on www.astateoftrance.com) and on social channels.
