Armin van Buuren most successful DJ in the Dutch Top 40
Today, Armin’s new single ‘We Are Here To Make Some Noise’ entered the Dutch Top 40 at number 32. Not exactly a special deal, considering the worldwide popularity of the DJ and producer, but what truly makes this a highlight is the fact that this is the 20th single with which he enters the Top 40. And that fact, makes him the most successful Dutch DJ in the history of the Top 40, which was set up by Stichting Top 40 in 1965. Both Tiësto and Ferry Corsten have has less entries in the Dutch hit-list.
Armin’s first Top 40 entry was in the summer of 2011, with single ‘The Sound of Goodbye’ under his Perpetuous Dreamer alias. The single that saw him making the highest entry, is ‘In & Out of Love’, his collaboration with singer Sharon den Adel, taking in number 10 in August 2008. ‘We Are Here To Make Some Noise’ is the official theme of the European Championship of Football campaign of Radio 538 and is currently rocking clubs and conquering the global charts.
