Armin van Buuren pleads for more female dance artists

We're only a few weeks into 2012, but Armin van Buuren is already busy working out his new plans and ambitions. Next to the grand A State of Trance 550 world tour kicking off in March, Armin has made it one of his personal goals to get more women to work in the dance industry. The Dutch DJ believes that the future of dance will involve a much bigger female influence. The biggest edition of the A State of Trance tour, taking place on March 31st in the Brabanthallen of Den Bosch, will include a female-only stage. Not just the DJ's and singers, but also the entire tech crew are female. Great news for Armin van Buuren! The Dutch DJ/producer, currently preparing for his extensive ASOT 550 world tour, received 7 nominations for the International Dance Music Awards! Noord Nederlands Orkest plays A Tribute To Armin

In 2010, the Oosterport venue in Groningen was shaking at its foundations. The Noord Nederlands Orchestra played a special concert, dedicated to no one less than Armin van Buuren. They made special classical arrangements of Armin's biggest hits and it was one of the few times that the visitors got our of their chairs and started dancing. More than 100.000 people tuned into the the live-stream of the night. And guess what? The Orchestra is going to do it all over again! Due to the tremendous success, NNO decided to take the tribute in reprise and present another night. Esspecially for this concert, they made two new arrangements, of Armin's ‘This Light Between Us' and ‘Not Giving Up On Love'.
